What if the stirring in your heart was worth listening to?

If you’re like me, you get itchy when things are too comfortable.

Your heart and soul are prone to wandering. You often wonder if something exciting is just out of view. You try to fall asleep at night, but you can’t drown out the whispers. As of late, my whispers are the home + family sort. Except my problem gift is that I have a partner who allows me to speak my craziest pipe dreams out loud. And then every single time says, “We could actually do that…”

So for my crew (myself, hubby, 8yo son, 6yo daughter, and a big old Newfoundland) this means:

1. Saying farewell to a lovely and friendly neighborhood.

2. Searching for acreage that will allow us room to stretch our limbs, explore, and homestead. Buying? Building? Who knows!

3. Maybe living in my sister’s basement for an unknown amount of time. No shower. No kitchen. Giant dog.

4. Opting for the way of homeschooling, even though we live in a great school district, love our teachers, and are super-comfy with life as it already is school-wise.

‘Follow the Whisper’ isn’t a place just for homeschoolers or wannabe homesteaders. It isn’t a place for people who look or think a lot like me. It’s a place for the dreamers. The chance-takers. The whisper-hearers who are ready to toss the earplugs and give whatever comes next a try. Might we fail? Absolutely! But might we find beautiful things along the way? You betcha.
